The airline dodged an ether today.

After the shocking United controversy last month, airlines are likely doing everything to avoid a similar public spectacle. So when Danny brown threatened to release a diss track aimed at Delta after complaining of delays on Twitter, they came through with a swift apology.

"You know I still got that diss song in the stash .. don't let this be the day I drop that fire feat Dr Dao," he wrote, referencing the man who was infamously dragged out of the United plane a few weeks ago.

Within the hour, the airline had replied to Danny, giving him a hilariously cordial apology that made no reference to the alleged fire Danny had promised. "Hi, Danny! Sorry for the difficult trip you had today," they wrote. "Is there anything we can assist with?" At this point, Danny ditched his plans to come at the company on wax, applauding them for "accept[ing] responsibility."

Delta seemed very happy to have avoided a lyrical takedown from the rapper, and promised they'll always "have his back."

So, unfortunately, we won't be getting new music from Danny today. However, his 2016 album Atrocity Exhibition still sounds as strong as ever.
