Last night, Kanye West announced that Yeezy Season 4 would debut Wednesday (aka today) and it would be live streamed for all via TIDAL. Yeezy Season 3 was a monstrous event that took over Madison Square Garden, however we don't have word yet as to where Yeezy Season 4's fashion show is taking place. Nonetheless Kanye added another successful notch to his MSG belt, when his "Saint Pablo" tour hit New York on Monday night.
The "Saint Pablo" tour comes with a new line of merch from Kanye, obviously separate from whatever he's doing for Yeezy Season 4, but still a very lucrative business. Fans have evidently been gobbling up his various merch, some of which features photographs of his wife Kim Kardashian during a recent trip to Mexico. TMZ reports that Kanye was able to make more money off his merch at the famed NYC venue than the previous title holder-- the Pope. It's quite a significant difference too.
Pope Francis held court at Madison Square Garden a year ago, and broke a record with the amount of merch he sold, raking in $540,000. Kanye was able to beat that number by over $200,000, earning $780,000 in tour merch alone.
