By now, most of you are aware of Kanye’s epic speech last night at the MTV VMA’s, where he announced that he was running for President of The United States in 2020. “And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020, to run for president.” – Kanye drops mic

Well not even 24 hours since this bold announcement was made, we have a statement from The White House itself, and they’re apparently all open for Kanye’s decision to run.

According White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, who happened to be traveling aboard Air Force One with the president to Alaska, says they’re looking "forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat."

The statement from Earnest could also be a subtle jab made at Donald Trump for the ridiculous hats (and slogans) he's been wearing these past few weeks in his campaign run for 2016. Nevertheless, Kanye did get the attention of The White House and received a brief statement.

We'll keep you posted as more develops. (Included below is our latest "WOTS" segment where we took to the streets of NYC earlier today and asked the people if they'd vote for Kanye in 2020.)
