Another week, another fresh crop of songs raiding our Top Ten.
Let’s get to it.
10) Omarion ft. DeJ Loaf, Trey Songz, Ty Dolla $ign and Rick Ross – Post To Be (Remix)
This re-working of Omarion’s hit was smart enough to keep its most famous, meme-spawning line. And like that line, it’s hanging around for another week.
The track fell one spot to land at number 10.
9) Lil Durk – What Your Life Like
Remember My Name is almost upon us and Durk revved up the anticipation with his latest single. After his pop-leaning track with Jeremih, Durk returns over the type of Young Chop beat that made him famous.
“What Your Life Like” came in at number nine in its first week on the charts.
8) Ty Dolla $ign ft. YG, Joe Moses and TeeCee 4800 – Only Right
Ty Dolla, YG & DJ Mustard don't exactly break any new ground here, but that's just fine.
Their latest banger made it to number eight in its first week on the charts.
7) Jamie xx ft. Young Thug – I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)
Jamie xx did for sad, spacey sighing what Young Thug did for gibberish. So to see the two names together is more than a little jarring.
The track itself is even more of a surprise, a slinky, snapping summer jam that perfectly suits Thug’s unique sound.
“Good Times” came in at number seven in its first week on the charts.
6) Mac Miller – I Got This Beat In My Head
Miller love is strong enough that even an unfinished track can land in the Top Ten.
The eternal question surrounding "Lizzie McGuire" pushed this track to number six in its first week.
5) Meek Mill ft. Migos – Basic Bitch
This is a truly post-regional production. Meek Mill shouts for Philly and Migos bring their ATL weirdness to a production that’s a mix of New Yawk horn blasts and NOLA bounce drums and hooks.
It’s also awesome.
“Basic Bitch” landed at number five in its first week on the charts.
4) A$AP Rocky ft. Rod Stewart, Miguel and Mark Ronson – Everyday
This truly odd and truly great Rocky track looks like it will hold on for a few more weeks. It only fell two spots from its first week to land at number four.
3) Meek Mill – Energy (Freestyle)
Drake’s IYRTITL went a little too soft for its own good at times. Mill’s here to fix all that.
His freestyle over “Energy” is the second new track from Meek to land in the top ten this week.
2) Fetty Wap ft. Drake – My Way
This Drake co-sign fell from the top spot it held last week, but not by much.
1) DJ Khaled ft. Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Big Sean – How Many Times
DJ Khaled’s latest started a mini-"Who Won?" debate in the comments when it pitted Big Sean against Lil Wayne.
(For the record, Sean had more quotables but Wayne served the song a lot better).
No matter where the HNHH readership stands, the star-studded track garnered enough interest to take the top spot in its first week on the countdown.
