DJ Khaled pronounced himself the official King of Summer while promising to drop the first single off his upcoming album soon.

If nothing else, DJ Khaled definitely comes through with the summer anthems. Year after year, the man has delivered certified bangers to get us hype for the warmer months, and while things may be drastically different this year, Khaled is still promising to bless us with a new summer jam. On Wednesday, he posted a hilarious edited clip on Instagram, claiming that it was footage of himself getting ready to drop his first single off his upcoming album. "Me at home in quarantine in the gym ready to drop my first single PON THEY HEAD TOP !" he wrote in the caption. "Be patient theres no summer wit out a DJ KHALED ANTHEM I AM SUMMER !"

"Fan luv I don’t know when I’m let it go i really don’t i have to get a special presentation together for y’all," he continued. "In the mean time stay home stay safe ! Stay blessed ! @wethebestmusic !" He also indicated that while he's been working on his forthcoming album, it's not quite ready to drop, but the single will be here soon. "ALBUM MODE! 12 th ALBUM IN THE WORKS ! First single ready thoe ! Been ready !"

"Im not in no rush or no race but there’s no SUMMER WIT OUT DJ KHALED ANTHEM !" he concluded. "I AM SUMMER I HAVE BEEN OVER A DECADE." Can't wait to hear what he's got in store.

Do you agree that Khaled is the king of summer anthems? Or is there somebody else more deserving of the title?
