Robin Thicke encountered plenty of rumors this past year, in part due to the whole Miley Cyrus twerking debacle at the VMAs as well as a hyper-sexual music video for "Blurred Lines", which led many people to ask Thicke if his wifey, Paula Patton, was okay with all the naked women surrounding her husband. Everything seemed to be all fine and dandy at the time, however, perhaps they had troubles we were not aware as the two have announced today that they're splitting up, after eight years of marriage.
The r'n'b singer and Patton first met when Thicke was only 14-years old. They quickly started dating and eventually tied the knot in 2005, following which, Patton gave birth to their son Julian Fuego Thicke in 2010.
Patton shared the news with People, saying, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
