Will the return trip to Westeros beat "Winds Of Winter" in a race to sate ASOIAF fans?

Game Of Thrones has come to an end, but HBO aren't quite ready to close the door on Westeros quite yet. As many fans already know, a GOT prequel series set during the "Age Of Heroes" is already in the production stages, once again returning to Belfast. As casting has already been confirmed, including Naomi Watts, Josh Whitehouse, Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah and more, some have come to expected an unreasonably quick turnaround time; in reality, the fiends are simply jonesing for a return to the beloved fantasy realm, and who can blame them

Unfortunately, HBO programming president Casey Bloys spoke with Deadline about the upcoming prequel, putting any thoughts about a 2020 release to rest. "I have to get a sense from production when we see scripts for a season, how big and involved it is," he explains. "Shooting a pilot in June and having it on the air a year later feels a little rushed, but it’s too soon to tell." He also reveals that shooting will take place "in a couple of weeks," before pulling the plug on any potential Arya Stark spinoff rumors - for now. "I think it’s best to try the prequels in other areas of George’s massive universe," he says. "It just feels like the right thing to do, let the show stand on its own."

Will you be tuning into the upcoming prequel series, or did you ultimately pull a Snoop Dogg and leave Game Of Thrones on a sour note?
