Lil Pump's long-awaited self-titled project arrived Friday, and its full of notable collaborations; some more obvious than others. From SoundCloud all-stars like Lil Yachty and Smokepurpp to veterans like Gucci Mane and Rick Ross, it's a well-rounded guest list. One of the most effective collabs comes on "Iced Out," which features 2 Chainz, someone who has yet to find a performer he can't find some sort of chemistry with. The two find overlap in their styles through Mr. 2-17, a flashy young Atlanta producer who's previously worked on Chainz' on tracks like "El Chapo Jr,' and "Blue C-Note." His beat on "Iced Out" is as simple, catchy and physical as any of his past work, which makes him a good match for Pump.
Lil Pump is expected to compete for No. 1 on the Billboard 200 next week. His first entry on Billboard's Streaming Songs, "Gucci Gang" jumped from 50 to 19 on last week's chart, and should continue its ascent with the release of the project.
