2 Chainz

2 Chainz and Statik Selektah are sitting on some heat.

2 Chainz has aged gracefully. His discography has been respectable from the jump, but there was something special about Pretty Girls Like Trap Music; in some ways, it stands out as the definitive Tity Boi project. The Atlanta legend continues to creatively thrive, and he seems to be rolling into his OG years with a newfound musical vitality. After the warm-up EP The Play Don't Care Who Make It, 2 Chainz literally took to the skies to announce his upcoming album Rap Or Go To The League. And while many rappers and producers are no doubt lining up to grace Chainz' latest, it would appear we've got our first look at one of the honorary guests.

2 Chainz took to Instagram to preview a pair of new bangers, produced by none other than Statik Selektah. Boasting about their one-take recording process, the duo proceed to vibe out in a blue-lit studio. Sonically, both songs are reminiscent of old school Kanye West production; perhaps something circa Jay-Z's Blueprint. 2 Chainz takes to the soulful instrumental with a refreshing sense of wisdom. While he's more than capable of serving up trap bangers, it's nice to see him picking up where "Burglar Bars" left off.

Check out the previews below, and sound off. Are ya'll hyped for the new 2 Chainz album? If these two songs are an indication of the sonic direction, perhaps we'll be looking at Tity Boi's most mature project to date.
