The co-executor of Michael Jackson's estate is considering tabling a lawsuit against Dan Reed, the director of the HBO-sanctioned Leaving Neverland documentary.  John Branca says the lawsuit wouldn't derail their litigation efforts against HBO but would run concurrent with them, should they decide to pursue additional legal action in the end.

"Those people made up a goddamn story because they wanted money and we will not allow that to go unchecked," Branca told a Billboard contributor following a panel discussion at Harvard University where Jackson's existing legal counsel discussed the pitfalls of the docuseries.

During the panel discussion, Branca reiterated the comments echoed by members of Jackson's family concerning the supposed fallacies expressed by the two claimants: Wade Robson and James Safechuck. "Dan Reed's documentary is replete with inaccuracies, lies, and stuff they knew not to be true," Branca said. "They should be ashamed of themselves." Evidently, Branca holds Reed responsible for the change of heart incurred by the two subjects.

He also added that any potential lawsuit filed against Dan Reed would be done with the intention of revealing the truth, and not for financial gain. "Hopefully the real truth will come out, other facts will come out and people will pay attention to both sides of the story," Branca told the Billboard contributor.
