Kanye West responds to accusations of anti-Semitism from the anti-defamation league.

Kanye West made some controversial comments in his Breakfast Club interview last month, where he made the claim that "Black people don't have the same level of connections as Jewish people."

His remark was greeted with criticism from many, including the anti-defamation league who called his statement "classic anti-Semitism," going on to say, "There it goes again, the age-old canard that Jews are all-powerful and control the levers of power in government."

'Ye has now responded to the accusations of anti-Semitism in a radio interview with B96, acknowledging the ignorance of his comments to some extent, though not offering a proper apology. “I think that it was kind of like an ignorant compliment,” he said.

The rapper went on to compare his comments to similar stereotypes about African Americans. "I don’t know how being told that you have money is like an insult," he said. "That would be like if somebody complimented black guys and said, ‘All black guys have big penises.’ You don’t want to be the black guy who raises his hand and says like, ‘That’s not true. I have proof!’"
