Who knew their beef would devolve into a spelling contest.

It's well documented that former boxer Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather don't like each other. The two fought in 2007 with Mayweather taking the fight by a split decision. Over a decade later, the two are still beefing and De La Hoya is taking advantage of how people like to joke on how Mayweather may or may not be able to read.

De La Hoya took to Twitter on Christmas Eve to wish his followers a happy holiday. What was weird about the tweet was the sheer number of spelling mistakes.

Well, Floyd took to Instagram to roast De La Hoya for the mistake-ridden post, saying "I never claim to be a rocket scientist, but in the boxing ring I’m Albert Einstein. This is the same coke head talking about running for president in 2020."

The joke was on Floyd though as De La Hoya got back on Twitter today to say that the mistakes were a ploy to get Mayweather to reply. Mission accomplished for De La Hoya who pulled off the ultimate troll.

Considering De La Hoya retired from boxing back in 2009, we won't be seeing these two get back in the ring anytime soon. For now, we'll have to settle for the spelling lessons instead.
