The late producer is "irreplaceable."

We were previously informed of the unfortunate passing of John Singleton this past week. The producer and screenwriter succumbed to a stroke last month which brought him into a coma. He remained under careful medical care at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles until he was finally taken off life support. Moreover, the ensuing loss of the director profoundly impacted the world of cinema as it related to the Hip Hop community with Singleton's iconic work catalog often reflected the untold experiences of black and brown folks.

Throughout the years, John's creative involvement in an array of different projects earned him both recognition and respect. And recent TMZ reports are showing the latter to remain even after his death. In fact, recent TMZ reports have indicated that John Singleton would remain an executive producer on the FX television show Snowfall, a drama series co-created by Singleton which chronicles the 1980s crack epidemic.

According to the sources tied to the show, the third season is underway and John Singleton remains cited as an executive producer and so posthumously. As the late showrunner was very hands-on with the project and extremely dedicated. And his non-replacement only shows the positive impact Singleton had on his projects and all who were involved.

RIP John Singleton.
