Beloved director John Singleton, known for his work on such films as Boyz-N-The-Hood, Shaft, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Four Brothers, and more, is currently holding on through life support. Despite reports that Singleton had passed away, his publicist has since issued a statement on the contrary, though his circumstances are not looking good. Currently in a medically-induced coma, Singleton remains non-responsive. He initially checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center upon feeling a strange pain in his leg, and went on to suffer a stroke twelve days ago.

Sadly, Singleton's condition is unlikely to improve. We can only hope that his friends and family are feeling okay in this trying time. While it's obviously difficult for those close to him, hopefully his loved ones can take some solace knowing he was beloved by his many fans. For now, however, it would appear that Singleton's life hangs in the balance. If anything changes, we will keep you updated on the situation.

Once again, prayers for John Singleton and his family.
