Philly x Detroit.

Big Sean was pretty quiet in 2018. The year prior, he dropped off I Decided and his Metro Boomin collaboration project Double or Nothing. Then, mostly radio silence except for a gang of spirited feature verses. With 2019 already a quarter way through, it looks like Big Sean is ready to step back into the limelight with new music. As reported by ComplexBig Sean sat down with Philly radio station Boom 103.9's Mina SayWhat, and spoke about his upcoming album.

"So I've been making this music for the past year going through ups and downs," he states at the 2:27 mark in the interview. "It definitely to me is my best music, you know what I mean it's heartfelt. I mean it's everything I wanted it to be it's electrifying too, you know what I'm saying it has energy to it so you know I'm on the way back. It's not too far off so it's definitely coming this year." Big Sean also touched on his much speculated upon joint project with Meek Mill. "That's my dog, we was actually working on something for the future," he said at the 8:24 mark. "So shoutout my brother Meek. He puts on for Philly like no other."
