You would have to ignore every news outlet in the country to not be informed about the current SCOTUS climate. Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court, and Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault accusations against him, have the entire nation at attention. The scandalous case is horrible in every sense. If Kavanaugh did commit the sexual assault, the US may have a rapist on the Supreme Court. If he's innocent, then this is all a disgusting method to try to stain someone's career. It feels like a lose/lose situation no matter what happens.
Jimmy Kimmel chose to address the hearing on his talk show, and the host took several unapologetic shots at Donald Trump Jr. The president's son chose to tweet out questionable comments during the broadcasting of the hearing, something his Twitter-fingered father even chose not to do. While Donald Trump Sr. decided to wait until after the proceeding to tweet, his son took aim at Ford. "I’m no psychology professor but it does seem weird to me that someone could have a selective fear of flying," he tweeted. "Can’t do it to testify but for vacation, well it’s not a problem at all."
Trump Jr. was referencing Ford's fear of flight, in an attempt to hurt her credibility since she requested to be interviewed at home. She ultimately made it to the hearing. “I agree, you're not a psychology professor,” Kimmel began in response to the tweet. “You are a dull-witted human canker sore who shoots baby hippos out of daddy’s helicopter because it’s the only way you can get an erection,” he continued. “Do us a favor, put the Twitter aside, go rub a tub of AXE Extreme Hold hair gel on your empty head, you chinless son of a circus peanut... Could there be a dumber thing to be than Donald Trump Jr.?”
