"Becoming Mr. & Mrs. Smith (Part 1)": from their missed connection through their marital troubles.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have expressed progressive ideas about romantic relationships and marriage over the years, bringing rise to many rumors about the couple. Today, they reveal the details of their love story on "Red Table." They discuss sacrifice, parenting, sex while dishing out interesting anecdotes about their lives.

The journey started with Will Smith's visit to visit the set of A Different World. He was supposed to be introduced to Jada, who was part of the television show's cast but was caught up by another woman.

"The dude who was gonna introduce me to Jada was with another girl and I was like, 'Who is that?' I went to Different World to meet Jada and met Sheree. And ended up marrying Sheree and having Trey with Sheree. I didn't meet Jada that day."

They also reveal how the pair eventually got married because of how strongly Jada's mother felt about holy matrimony. While Will Smith dreamt about heading towards the altar since childhood, Jada never wanted to take part in the institution of marriage. She definitely didn't want a wedding either.

Despite this initial hesitance, their union was a success. Still, there were some rough times, including Will breaking up with Jada for cursing at him.
