Put some respeck on Stan Lee's name.

Tributes have been pouring in from around the world as comic-book legend Stan Lee passed away yesterday. The Marvel head was 95 when he died, and many celebrities have reacted on social media to extend their condolences to his family and friends. It is being reported that his cameos have already been filmed for the upcoming Marvel films so we should be seeing him on our screens pretty soon. The icon was the subject of several tributes as actors shared their photos with the real-life superhero. Unfortunately, some publications were not entirely vigilant when it came to reporting his passing as a New Zealand newspaper reported that he had passed away... and they used the wrong name.

The Gisborne Herald printed a tribute to the writer today but people quickly noticed that the wrong name was written. In fact, they wrote that another celebrity died altogether. Their headline reads, "Spike Lee dies at 95." Of course, famed director Spike Lee has not passed away, the newspaper was just too careless to notice their error before going to print.

Stan Lee made a major impact on both the comic-book and film industries as Marvel made a stunning move into cinema. Lee was judgmental about the move at first but he grew to play a huge part in the development of each of his creations, making regular cameos. R.I.P. Stan Lee.
