Roseanne Barr enjoyed a brief comeback earlier this year when her television show was rebooted. The right-leaning series rose more than a couple eyebrows, but the show was a hit none the less. Everyone deserves a platform, whether they're right-leaning, left-leaning, or neither. Not long after Rosanne was reveling in her success, she tweeted out the infamous Valerie Jarrett statement that compared the former senior White House advisor to an ape mixed with a Muslim. Her tweet went viral, and her show was immediately canceled. First, Roseanne tried the tearful apology. Next, she had a meltdown where she screamed "Goddammit! I thought the bitch was white." Now, she's showing her true colors.
Perplexingly, Roseanne Barr believes that it wasn't her racist tweet that got her show canceled. In a video Barr uploaded to her Youtube channel, the comedian claims that voting for Donald Trump is not allowed in Hollywood, and that's why she is in the position she is in now.
“This was my statement from the very beginning and it will continue to be forever, because it is the truth," stated Barr. "When ABC called, and asked me to explain my ‘egregious and unforgivable tweet,’ I told them, ‘I thought Valerie Jarrett was white.’ And I also said, ‘I am willing to go on The View, Jimmy Kimmel or whatever other show you want me to go on and explain that to my audience."
“Now instead what happened was about 40 minutes after that, my show was canceled before even one advertiser pulled out, and I was labeled a racist," she continued. "Why, you ask? Well, the answer is simple, because I voted for Donald Trump, and that is not allowed in Hollywood.”
