Gucci Mane

Gucci Mane comes through with the passion.

Rap is a competitive industry, and many artists have proclaimed themselves the best to ever do it; of course, the discourse produces a range of recurring names, including staples like Pac, Big, Em, Hov, Nas, Andre 3000, and many more. Yet the legendary Gucci Mane is looking to shift the narrative. Boasting a track record of twelve (soon to be thirteen studio albums), a prolific mixtape run, and a successful record label, Guwop has more than earned his right to assert his dominance. Now, with Evil Genius dropping tomorrow, Gucci took to Power 106's Cruz Show to explain why his name should be in the conversation.

Upon being asked to name the best rapper in the world, Gucci comes through with some genuine passion for his craft. "One hundred percent me," he proclaims. "Who doper than me like for real? I wanna hear ya'll tell me, and why. I got a million reasons why I am, why would someone else be better? What they did? Who they help? What they been through? What's they track record? Do they do what they say? How many hurdles have they jumped? How much opposition do they have? Did they have a cakewalk? Did they do it by themselves? Was they blackballed? Did they have one of they own behind their back when they was doing it? Did they ever break? Did anybody ever take something from them. Did they ever snitch? I'm unblemished."

If that's not laying down the law, I don't know what is. Respect to Gucci Mane, and keep a watchful eye out for that Evil Genius project, dropping tomorrow.
