Aquaman has been raking in Chinese money and even getting some acclaim from the critics (rather rare for DC films of late), but it's the unlikely praise that the movie received on Twitter a few days ago that may be the most important.
The editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, C.B. Cebulski, tweeted his admiration of the film, even though it was made by the only other publisher that can rival his own. He described it as "such a fun flick," and said that "the spectacle of it all made me feel like a kid in the theater." The editor added that he "can't wait" to take his nephew and niece to see the "superhero splash," even though it's made by what one Twitter user dubbed the Distinguished Competition.

Aquaman has also put the money where it's mouth is by making a lot of money. It's one of DC's most successful films to date (although not domestically) and is predicted to make at least a billion dollars globally.
