"No sugar tonight in my coffee."

This week, El Chapo had one simple ask for the judge presiding over his Narco-trial: let me hug my wife just this once. As previously reported, "El Chapo," a methodical killer in the minds of many, demanded the judge let him embrace wife, because the wait between scheduled hearings can be painstakingly long. And although the judge began his address by stating "the Court is sympathetic to the request," it was ultimately decided that he his wife Emma Coronel Aispuro would not be granted special permissions, as part of a preemptive punishment plan. The alleged kingpin has been in solitary confinement for 2 years and was seeking solace from the only person in the World with an open line to his beating heart.

"El Chapo" filed his request by pleading with the judge to consent to a humanitarian gesture, wording that may have backfired considering the inhumane circumstances of his criminal activities. However, the judge did compliment Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán's exemplary comportment while in detainment. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to get him over in the judge's eyes.

The infamous kingpin of the Sinaloa Cartel was finally extradited to the United States in January of last year. He is charged with leading a drug cartel that rakes in an unreported $3 billion annually, a steady flow of income that continues with or without their leader at the helm.
