Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow," the 5x platinum, Hot 100-topping song that single-handedly made the rapper a bonafide superstar, is one year old today (June 16th). Cardi more than ever, remembers just how important the single was for her career, and she reflected on the last 12 months on Instagram.

It has been quite the year for Cardi, outside of the massive success of the single, Cardi released her debut album Invasion Of Privacy to stellar sales and glowing reviews. One day after the album hit streaming services, she announced that she was pregnant in a performance on Saturday Night Live. The baby's father is Migos rapper Offset, who Cardi got engaged to in October. Really, it's hard to imagine a more life-changing year than the one Cardi just lived. With that being said, she still has big things ahead of her. The Bronx rapper's child is due this summer and her single "I Like It" rose to No. 3 on the Hot 100 last week.
