Tekashi 6ix9ine Accused Of Biting K-Pop Song "Island" By Winner

Tekashi 6ix9ine's whole career has been sparked off of controversy and he's managed to use it to his advantage. It seems like every week, he manages to make some sort of headline whether it be about beefing another rapper or getting a show cancelled. Nonetheless, he keeps his fans intrigued with his next move. A few days a go, the rapper shared a snippet of a new song on his Instagram page for DJ Akademiks birthday. However, fans of K-Pop group Winner seemed to notice a resemblance between their 2017 hit, "Island" and 6ix9ine's previously teased single.

6ix9ine seems to have irritated some fans of K-Pop group after he shared a snippet of an upcoming song on Instagram, as AllKpop points out. The rapper's single seems to have some uncanny resemblance to Winner's "Island" which was released in 2017. The teaser for 6ix9ine's song, "Nobody (Closer)" was uploaded to his YouTube page shortly after. Fans of Winner have been vocal about wanting the rapper to take down the song from his page. Neither parties have commented on the accusations but Winner fans weren't happy.

This isn't the first time 6ix9ine's faced accusations of plagiarism. A few weeks back, he teased his single "TATI" which contained lines from a classic freestyle from an NYC rapper. 6ix9ine later took to Instagram to prove that he was paying homage to the rapper after posting a video of the two of them having a FaceTime conversation.
