Aguilera's powerhouse vocals could not be disguised.

New York City subway commuters were given an unexpected treat when Christina Aguilera and Jimmy Fallon cloaked themselves in shaggy garb in order to put on an unexpected presentation for commuters. The Accelerate chanteuse donned a brown wig, oversized hat, and dark shades, while her comedic accomplice sported a long wig, shades, and a phoney goatee. The bit was filmed and eventually broadcast as a segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

While her appearance may have been rendered unrecognizable, the second Aguilera opened her mouth, her cover was blown. She began with a rendition of Aretha Franklin's "Think," accompanied by Fallon on the banjo.

Crowds soon began to swarm the pair, which eventually resulted in the late night host revealing their true identities. "We’d like to do one more song for you if you don’t mind right here,” Fallon said. “First we’d like to introduce ourselves, my name is Jimmy Fallon and this is Christina Aguilera. Welcome to New York City and welcome to the subway!” The two then performed Aguilera's 2002 hit "Fighter," as their audience gawked at this chance encounter.

Back in the studio, Aguilera serenaded the Tonight Show crowd with a performance of her latest single "Fall in Line;" her album Liberation is available for streaming and purchase today.
