BlacKkKlansman hit theaters this weekend, and Spike Lee's latest film looks like it will be a success for the legendary director. While it isn't breaking the $100 million mark like The Meg did, BlacKkKlansman was still able to garner $10.8 million in domestic sales according to Box Office MojoThe production budget for the film was only $15 million, meaning that Spike is on his way to recouping everything and sitting on a nice chunk of change.

BlacKkKlansman stars John David Washington, who is following in his father Denzel Washington's footsteps by collaborating with Spike Lee. Adam Driver plays Washington's police partner, and Topher Grace plays David Duke, the leader of the KKK. The film currently holds 97% score on Rotten Tomatoesand was one of the most comedic yet deep films I've seen in years.

The Meg took the number one spot at the box-office this weekend, because Jason Statham battling a huge shark appears to be the new wave. According to The Hollywood ReporterThe Meg raked in $44.5 million domestically this weekend, and earned an additional $96.8 million in foreign markets. Mission: Impossible Fallout took the number two spot after spending two weekends at number one. Christopher Robin followed in third place, Slender Man took fourth place, and BlacKkKlansman rounded out the top five.
