THE LYONZ came out of their lengthy silence to share their sonic universe through a second project entitled 2nd U (Pt. 1). Although the release contains many tracks with replay value, "Helicopter Days" could be considered as a worthy introduction to the duo's musical realm.
The Montreal-based duo, comprised of SLV and Norrin, weave mysticism and astronomy in their storytelling. The song's intricate instrumental harmonizes with its lyricism as poetry, jazz inflections, and progressive melodies meld together to form one narrative. Bubbling talent of this kind is bound to propel Montreal's rap scene to the main stage.
