What not to do when running a twitch account with 25K followers.

Barstool Sports' official twitch channel was shut down earlier this week after employee Devlin D’Zmura, threatened to “swat” Twitch user LikeButta for illegally broadcasting the company's PPV boxing event, Rough N Rowdy.

The Barstool Sports Twitch account, which boasts more than 3 million views and more than 25,000 followers, posted in the chat, ”Ever heard of ‘Swatting,'” adding, “It’s not a threat, it’s a response.” The term "Swatting" is the act of falsely calling in a major crime to 911 in an effort to incite a major police response.

As it turns out, that type of lingo is more than enough to have your Twitch account removed.

On Monday, D’Zmura tweeted, “Apologies to anyone that enjoyed our Twitch. I’m an idiot. I’m a fucking idiot.” He also tweeted at LikeButta, "can’t DM wanted to give an apology somehow your way too. I was obviously over the line and there was no reason to take it that far whether I knew the severity or not. There are simply no excuses. Genuinely sorry for your troubles sir and what I’ve done here. Be well."
