Muhammad Ali's ex-wife rejects Donald Trump's idea of a posthumous pardon.

Muhammad Ali's ex-wife Khalilah wants nothing to do with Donald Trump's proposed plan to grant the late great boxer clemency for resisting the Vietnam draft. Khalilah Ali who was married to the boxer between '67 to '76, spanning the period he was politically ostracized. Khalila thinks Donald Trump is paying lip service, but doing nothing to advance any conversation of social merit. She told TMZ, "I think (Trump) probably was a fan of Ali and he thought he would say something positive about him. That might be it ... but it's a little too late."

With all due respect to his family, the same sentiment hovers the clemency awarded to Jack Johnson for breaking a law several generations old. Khalilah insists that if Trump really cared for Ali or what he represented on a political front, he would be addressing the NFL protests a lot differently.

"If you're willing to say its okay for Muhammad Ali to be pardoned for his freedom and standing up his rights and standing up for not going to the army ... then you're telling me that you're ready to pardon everybody that has done that in the same manner as Muhammad Ali has."

I can't say I disagree with her one bit, especially with innocent figures like Leonard Peltier waiting on a commuted sentence.
