Jorja Smith's Sultry Appeal Shines From A Book's Pages In "On Your Own" Video

Jorja Smith revisits a standout track from her debut studio album Lost & Found. Her song entitled "On Your Own" gets an original visual treatment directed by Rashid Babiker.

The director, who has also photographed some of the artist's most memorable portraits, had a clear vision for the concept. 

"I was imagining books, the hardback clothbound ones, being retrofitted into interactive photobooks, or video books sometime in the future when print is in the terminal stages of obsolescence."

The video clip shows a young fan flipping through the pages of an artsy volume. Smith sings from the pages in different styles of photographic spreads. She delivers her line from polaroids and even drawn illustrations.

The singer's latest sonic offering came through a collaboration. She laid down her vocals for a jazz ensemble called Ezra Collective. She appears on the London-based group's track, "Reason In Disguise." Check out her music video below then head over to the laid-back track here
