Drake is making history as we watch on.

Drake's latest single "God's Plan" can very well be his most successful song of all time. Having consistently proven his spot at the top of the music industry, he is among a class of artists that garners everybody's attention when they release new music. Drizzy has showcased an ability to appeal to a mainstream audience as well as to fans of hip-hop's core, creating material for everybody. With the attention that "God's Plan" and its attached music video have gotten, the song is Drake's biggest success on the charts, enjoying an eighth week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

Having sat atop the Billboard chart since its release on the Scary Hours EP, Drake is looking to meet up with Adele, who previously stuck around at the top of the chart for 10 straight weeks with her hit "Hello" in 2015. "God's Plan" has officially hit the halfway mark for the longest ever consecutive streak at number 1, which currently belongs to Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men with 1995's "One Sweet Day" at 16 weeks. Although Drake does not require an extreme amount of momentum, it is currently on his side.

Do you think Drake will continue his historic streak on the Billboard chart or will "God's Plan" be dethroned in the coming weeks? Give us your opinion in the comments.
