Childish says the Fourth of July is a good day to listen to his new song.

Childish Gambino dropped off his new song and video "This Is America" on Sunday and it's received nothing but love and respect. The four-minute clip sees Bino moving around a warehouse with numerous happenings in the background and front ground of the video. Every action, character, and person has a reason that brings the whole video together, cementing the genius quality of Bino's brain.

After the video came out, Childish A.K.A. Donald Glover hit up the Met Gala red carpet the next day and briefly spoke about his work. "I just wanted to make, you know, a good song and something that people could play on Fourth of July," he said, maintaining his humble quality.

The video garnered close to one million views in the first hour of being live and then hit 12.9 million views in the first 24 hours. It's also become the year's most popular video to date and was the most watched video on YouTube from Sunday, May 6th to Tuesday, May 8th.

"What's beautiful about the video," Marlon Wayans recently said. " [Is that] it's art and everybody has their own interpretation of what that video is and that's how you know it's a good video - we can all interpret it as something else."
