Rihanna's cult following are boycotting Snapchat.

Snapchat is just slowly but surely losing its hype. After the app posted an ad that had to audacity to ask users if they would rather "Slap Rihanna" or "Punch Chris Brown" Rihanna came back with a serious response that put Snap on blast.

“Now Snapchat I know you already know you ain’t my fav app out there,” Rihanna wrote Thursday in an Instagram story, “but I’m just trying to figure out what the point was with this mess! I’d love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb!"

Her last sentence in her statement simply stated "Throw the whole app-oligy away" and that alone seems to have seriously made people delete their account.

According to MarketWatch, Snapchat shares fell 4.7% to $17.02 Thursday, hitting an intraday low of $16.91. You can see the drop in the shares from today alone since Rihanna's response was shared via her Instagram story about five hours ago.

Snapchat addressed the ad saying: “This advertisement is disgusting and never should have appeared on our service. We are so sorry we made the terrible mistake of allowing it through our review process. We are investigating how that happened so that we can make sure it never happens again.”
