KFCs in England are closing up shop by the hundreds. Get this: a whopping 900 outlets in total. The total can be explained by franchises meddling in the supply chain and plummeting together.
Chicken and chips, a generous offering springing from the migratory wave to England, can be found at nearly every corner. There is likely to be a push for local chicken producers to up their output. Another issue that is causing these closures is the centralized network runs on a multilateral system that can't be undone. DHL who coordinates this integrated system was quick to comment on the chicken crisis:
"Due to operational issues, a number of deliveries in recent days have been incomplete or delayed. We are working with our partners, KFC and QSL, to rectify the situation as a priority and apologise for any inconvenience."
And so it seems, that it isn't the chicken shortage that spells doom for chicken lovers in England, but rather the demise of their delivery system. Without the efficiency of that system, chicken lovers will have to venture out into the cold of the night to procure their chicken. We are now that much closer to the apocalypse, as predicted by one and all.
