Roc Marciano returns with old crony Alchemist.

Roc Marciano and Alchemist are emblematic of a cinematic hip hop style that lives and dies in their Dropbox cache. The pair continues their 45 Craft Singles series which saw both participants get maximum yield last September. All the singles associated with the series get a vinyl pressing, in a commemorative album sleeve styled after the ALC archives.

"In Case You Forgot," starts off with an instrumental prologue which sets you up for the tonality of the record. Alchemist is confident enough in his abilities that he's doesn't have to resort to a sordid virtuoso performance to get our attention. It's all in the subtlety of his craft. Fans of Roc Marciano's 2018 release RR2 are rewarded for their loyalty. Roc Marciano is consistently Roc, a Geechi Suede type character with darker shades. Ever so often, Roc pulls a reference point that'll leave you speechless, and even in his dull moments he does enough to break even.

Quotable Lyrics:

She tapped out like a wrestler
Jimmy Snuka
Ran in your cribby with the cooker
WE butcher
You're chilli, add a dash of black pepper
Peep it
Orthopedic
I'm in the porsche seated
The slacks that I wore pleaded

-Roc Marciano
