Yung Miami debuted on the Billboard 200 with "Watch Dis!" but the first week sales numbers aren't what some expected.

Yung Miami had one of the songs of the summer with "Spend Dat," so it only made sense that she capitalize on this hype with a new album. Watch Dis! was her solo debut, and there have been mixed reviews on the project. Much of the discourse surrounded "Dear JT," and whether or not the bars were adequate from a popular MC.

That said, fans were also eager to see how Yung Miami would sell. On Tuesday, that information was made available, as it was revealed that Watch Dis! sold 10.5K units in the first week. This was good enough for a debut at 138 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

These numbers certainly don't jump off the page, and there has been an ensuing debate about whether or not these are numbers to celebrate.

Yung Miami Debuts On The Billboard 200

In the Chart Data comments section, there were two sentiments. Some were congratulating Yung Miami on these numbers. These fans felt as though this was a fantastic showing for an independent artist, and that she should be very proud of herself. Meanwhile, there were others who had a pessimistic view of the sales figures, calling Yung Miami a "flop."

These responses are further proof that the internet is a toxic place, and that no one is ever happy. Everything is discourse, and there is never a consensus on anything. Yung Miami's debut album was always going to be a hot topic of debate. The album's relatively weak first-week sales only polarize the situation further.

Album sales are largely down across the board these days. So none of this should be all that surprising. That said, the stan wars continue regardless of context.
