Only a few songs have defined the summer of 2026, and among them is Yung Miami’s “Spend Dat.” After dominating the past few months with the single–one that sparked several contentious debates–she’s back with her debut solo album.
In a dramatic trailer shared on social media, she revealed that the project, titled Watch Dis, is personal and pushes back against the doubt she’s faced throughout her career.
“This album is personal. This is me betting on ME,” Yung Miami wrote. “I’ve been counted out before… I know what that feels like. But I also know what it feels like to prove everybody wrong. WATCH DIS!”
The trailer opens up with comments from Joe Budden and Akademiks while highlighting headlines from Complex and Hot New Hip Hop. The album has been in the works for two years, and the trailer showcases her relentless grind in the studio and the evolution of the narrative around her name, from being counted out as an artist to dominating the summer with “Spend Dat.”
“A lot of people give up before they get to the finish line. I ain’t giving up,” she says in the trailer.
So far, we haven’t received a confirmation on a release date, but considering the recent press run that she’s been on, it looks like she’s gearing up to drop something before the year comes to an end.
Yung Miami Announces Debut Album
In an interview with Billboard this summer, Yung Miami revealed that much of this project goes back to her roots in Miami.
“I wanted to go back to my roots and what inspires me about being from Miami; the culture and the music and the environment shaped me to be who I am today,” Yung Miami said. “This album is about everything I’ve been through and pulling myself out of survival mode to get back to a space to create. I’m definitely going there, but also having fun. I surprise myself whenever I listen to it; I cry, I dance, I’m actually gagging myself. I really created an album! People are about to eat their words.”
