Soulja Boy recently took to social media to offer up some commentary on the situation involving the protests in France.

Soulja Boy has been the first rapper to do a lot of things throughout his career. If you ask him, he will suggest he was the first rapper to do anything. Name a topic, and he's the first one to have partaken in it. For Soulja, it's become a tagline, and now, he is looking to extend this to the political realm.

Recently, he revealed that he wanted to run for President of the United States in 2028. Unfortunately, he is not the first rapper to do so. Kanye West tried it back in 2020, although he was ultimately unsuccessful.

However, he is the first American rapper to provide an official statement on the protests in France. If you were paying attention, large demonstrations broke out in France as many young residents are fed up with the cost of living crisis. Businesses, cars, and streets were destroyed. Some feel as though this is the only way the government will pay attention to their concerns.

Soulja Boy feels strongly about the situation, stating that the people are tired, and that the frustration has led to these kinds of protests. He believes it will only get worse if the cost of living continues to climb.

Soulja Boy Gets Political

"What’s happening in France is a wake-up call to the entire world," Soulja Boy wrote. "The cost of living keeps rising while everyday people struggle to survive. People are tired of working hard just to barely get by. Governments need to start listening to the people before frustration turns into chaos."

If Soulja Boy were to become President, it is unclear what his public policy would be to stop rising costs. Perhaps he could start with ending the Iran war, which has led to rising oil costs. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has also been problematic in this regard.

Whatever the case may be, Soulja Boy is, indeed, paying attention.
