Rick Ross once said that he spent $40 million on a private jet, but Steve Varsano, an expert in the industry, isn't so sure.

Rick Ross has been adamant about how much he loves his private jet. Of course, the existence of that private jet was in question earlier this year when Ross was spotted flying commercial. Some made the claim that he wasn't as wealthy as his persona suggests.

However, Ross made it clear that he was simply getting upgrades done in the PJ, and that it would be back to being operational in due time. Now, it appears as though he is back in the air with it.

That said, in a recent interview with Complex, Ross made the claim that this private jet cost him upwards of $40 million. However, in a TikTok video, this price was actually refuted by CEO Steve Varsano, who made a living selling these jets.

In his video, he claims that the Gulfstream G550 that Ross has only costs upwards of $20 million. Although it is still an impressive jet regardless of the final price.

Steve Varsano On Rick Ross

Varsano made it a point to say that Ross had the right mentality when buying the plane. He wanted to own it outright, and he didn't want to feel like he was stretching to pay for any extra costs or maintenance.

Ross even stated how he wouldn't charter flights until he could own a private jet outright. Varsano questioned this bit of the interview, as he felt as though Ross was actually depriving himself by going down that road.

Either way, an actual private jet expert has weighed in, and it's not a bad look for Ross. His wealth has been in question, but Varsano seems pretty certain that Ross isn't faking his private jet knowledge, even if the price is a bit inflated.
