Keshia Chanté has been all over the news as of late thanks to rumors suggesting that Drake was the father of her child. Overall, these rumors came from anonymous accounts on X, and it snowballed into people thinking that it was true.
Eventually, representatives for Drake reached out to TMZ with a statement. They unequivocally denied the rumor, and that was the end of that. However, Chanté wants to set the record straight on her end.
Earlier today, she visited Toronto outlet CP24, where she spoke about her pregnancy and everything she has gone through over the last 24 hours. The Canadian singer went on to say that Drake is not the father. However, they are good friends and eventually shared a laugh about the whole thing.
Chanté subsequently revealed that the father of her child is a public figure in the music industry, and that they are in a committed relationship.
Keshia Chanté Talks Drake
"My son's father, I love him dearly; he's in the music industry, and he's also a public figure," Chanté said.
So there you have it. Drake has denied it, and now, Chanté has as well. Of course, when it was first revealed that Drake had a child, it was Pusha T who exposed the information to the world. As a result, fans have been particularly sensitive to these kinds of rumors.
If you remember, Kendrick Lamar suggested Drake had a daughter on "Meet The Grahams." Two years later, nothing has actually come of that. There is no daughter to be found, and Lamar himself has not expanded upon the allegation.
As for Chanté, we wish her all the best with her pregnancy.
