Jamie Foxx recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his new comedy special, and in the interview, he mentioned "Club Shay Shay."

Jamie Foxx went through a horrific health scare a few years ago, and since that time, he has spent time recovering privately. However, he is now in the midst of a comeback, highlighted by his new comedy special, Take Care Of Yourself.

This new special releases on Wednesday, October 7 on Hulu and Disney+. As part of the marketing for the special, the multitalented actor has been going on the interview circuit. On Monday, he even did an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, where he spoke about a plethora of topics.

For instance, he was asked about platforms like Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay. A whole host of comedians have done the show, including Katt Williams. Foxx, on the other hand, won't be doing the show anytime soon, even if he sees the appeal.

Jamie Foxx On Shannon Sharpe

“It seems like you get in trouble,” Foxx said. “It seems like if you don’t say something really crazy, you can’t really affect the algorithm.”

His comments are more of a criticism of the internet than they are of Sharpe. When your show lives on a place like YouTube, the algorithm rules all. It's ultimately why the Katt Williams interview was such a success.

However, Foxx is an interesting enough personality to not have to play those games. Surely a nice and normal interview between the actor and Sharpe could do some serious numbers, especially in light of what Foxx has gone through lately.

Regardless, it is just nice to see Foxx healthy again. He is a legend of music, television, and film, and the world is a better place when he's doing his thing.
