Drake fans knew his pockets were deeper than most, but DJ Akademiks' claim about his monthly income is still astounding.

Drake has been having a massive year with his various new albums and all the hype surrounding them, which is deepening his pockets even more. In fact, DJ Akademiks recently claimed the Toronto superstar has a monthly income most artists can only dream of, which he alleged during a livestream with Trap Lore Ross.

As caught by HIPHOP media.com on Twitter, he said Drizzy makes an "enormous amount of money" that people "don't even believe." Ross asked "the king pocket-watcher" for a medium monthly estimate, positing that $10 million might be a good starting point. Akademiks said that was low-balling it, and then claimed the estimate. "I don't think there's a month that Drake don't make 20 to 25 million [dollars], at least. I'm telling you."

DJ Akademiks has made claims about Drake's finances before, whether it's how much he spent on this ICEMAN era or his transactions with other rappers or celebrities. Most recently, he predicted what the 6ix God's status with UMG is, considering his defamation lawsuit against them that's currently in an appeal process.

Ak believes their contract will last until May or June of next year, but he also posited that they might sign another contract as part of a settlement over the lawsuit. It's a bold prediction, but at this point, anything is possible if the money is right.

Drake's HABIBTI (FOMO)

Given the Toronto superstar's dominance and consistency over the past 20 years, making up to $25 million a month is absolutely absurd, but not all that shocking. Drake's impressive sales numbers and consistent engagement are significant factors regarding this. His latest drop, HABIBTI (FOMO), is projected to sell 65K first week and re-peak at number two on the Billboard charts off the strength of just four new deluxe cuts.

Elsewhere, DJ Akademiks' commentary on Drake this weekend also turned to the artistic side of things. At ComplexCon, he defended ICEMAN as the album of the year, arguing he does all sorts of music better than anyone right now.

Maybe one day, the OVO mogul will break down his finances. Or he will let fans pocket-watch with glee.
