Bronny James' latest PE is available now. The Nike LeBron Witness 9 "Midnight Navy" dropped today, August 31st, through Nike for $115.
Midnight navy covers most of the upper, with swirling graphics running from the toe through the side panels and around the heel. The pattern shifts between navy and purple depending on the angle. It gives the shoe some depth instead of a single tone. Two reverse Swooshes break up the sides, one in black and the other mixing neon yellow with pink.
Bronny's own branding gets its shine too. Pink detailing hits his logo near the tongue, along with "b9" stitching at the heel marking this as his PE. A translucent outsole closes out the build, with black accents adding one more dark touch to the overall look.
This marks Bronny's first PE since the Lakers traded LeBron, ending the father-son pairing that made NBA history when both shared the floor together. Bronny now heads into the season on his own. Also note that coach JJ Redick has already publicly backed him as part of the team's future.
Nike LeBron Witness 9 Bronny PE “Midnight Navy”
Bronny has carved out his own lane through these Witness PEs, running takedown versions alongside LeBron's actual signature model. Even as his role on the Lakers changes, that footwear connection to his father stays intact.
The Witness line has always served as a more accessible entry point compared to LeBron's flagship sneakers. Giving Bronny his own PE colorways within that same line keeps his identity distinct while still tied to the family name.
With LeBron now on a different roster, this "Midnight Navy" release carries a bit more weight than a typical PE drop. It's one of the clearer signs that Bronny is building his own sneaker story, separate from sharing the court with his dad.
More PEs will likely follow as Bronny settles into his first season without LeBron on the roster. Each new colorway gives him a chance to keep shaping that identity on his own terms.
