Lecrae adds a holy twist to flex rap on "Holy Water."

Fresh off the arrival of their collaborative project Let The Trap Say Amen, Lecrae and Zaytoven have once again solidified themselves as a worthy duo in the trap pantheon. Case in point, the slinking banger "Holy Water," which highlights Zay's versatility behind the boards. Accentuated by a staccato horn burst, Zaytoven lines the instrumental with his storied piano chops, culminating in a lush and thoughtfully arranged piece of music. Yet a good banger goes to waste if the rapper in question gets caught lacking.

Luckily, Lecrae delivers on that front, penning wisdom worthy of the holy man he professes to be. "Boy I swear I came from nothin' seen a lot of people fall," he raps. "Took a lot of L’s called em lessons never took a loss." A respectable bit of insight, and one befitting of those seeking to move with an aura of optimism. Leave it to Lecrae to put a holy twist on the oft-repeated topic of "drippin," as the man seems to leak Holy Water with every step.

Peep Let The Trap Say Amen right now, and sound off below.

Quotable Lyrics

Boy I swear I came from nothin' seen a lot of people fall
Took a lot of L’s called em lessons never took a loss
When they ask me how I say "Wow must not know my God"
Holy water drippin' One One Sixin' boy I’m with the mob yeah yeah
