"Aquaman" is racking up big numbers.

Last week, the James Wan-directed Aquaman easily earned the No. 1 spot at the box office and just a week later, the film has pushed past its predecessor's first week numbers. Where Justice League made off with a first-week figure of $130.8M, Aquaman has clocked $138.2M in the United States. What's even more impressive is that the lifetime gross of Justice League worldwide was $658 million. Aquaman is already closing in on that number with $614 million earned globally. Currently, predictions point toward a global tally of $750M in the weeks to come.

Paired with Wonder Woman, Aquaman marks another solo venture in the DC Extended Universe that has proven to be a greater success than the joint outing and easily points toward more spinoff flicks from the parent Justice League movie. While Aquaman is 10% ahead of Justice League at the same point in time, it is actually 8% behind the ten-day total of Wonder Woman, which was at $206.3M at the same point during its release.

It's another significant win in cinema for James Wan, partially thanks to Aquaman himself Jason Momoa. According to PostTrak, the ladies are flocking to the film in great numbers due to an understandable love for Momoa. Aquaman currently has a gender score of 84% with mothers outnumbering fathers by a margin of 52% to 48%. 21% of moviegoers are women over 25, but ultimately guys under 25 make up the biggest part of the audience at 31%.
