Top Tracks: March 21 - 27
The top tracks lists of the last few weeks got a little stale, with some songs (Drake's "Summer Sixteen," Travi$ Scott's "Uber Everywhere" remix, Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz's "Gotta Lotta") appearing week after week without much in the way of competition showing up to unseat them. Well, that changes this week, where the top nine tracks on the site are all newcomers.
Lollapalooza Reveals Line-Up
The festival line-ups keep rolling in, and every line-up seems better than the next (or, they're all just really dope line-ups). Today's line-up revelation comes from the annual Chicago festival Lollapalooza, with a mix of indie-rock and hip-hop headliners.
Metro Boomin Explains The Origin Of His "If Young Metro Don't Trust You" Tag
If you're a rap fan, there's no way you're not familiar with Metro Boomin's latest producer tag, "If Young Metro don't trust you they gon' shoot you," which has appeared both on Future and Drake's "Jumpman," and -- even more prominently -- on Kanye West's "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1". If you're a big enough Future fan, you'll know that the phrase was first uttered on Uncle Murda's "Right Now," which featured Future, but according to Metro, who discussed it with DJ Drama recently, the vocal he isolated didn't actually appear on the track.

Future Raps "Jumpman" With Jonah Hill & Performs "March Madness" On SNL
Future was the musical guest on this week's episode of Saturday Night Live, and he surely did not disappoint with his appearance. The rapper performed his hits "Low Life" and "March Madness" with a full band, and in the former, with assistance from The Weeknd. The arrangement allowed the rapper to perform without a backing track, and as a result, his vocal performance was clearer and stronger than ever.

Top Tracks: February 22 - February 28
Other than some resurfacing beefs (between Young Thug and The Game, and Rick Ross and Birdman, respectively) and the beginning of what is sure to be another drawn-out, highly-publicized Kanye West album rollout, it was a relatively quiet week, especially as far as full-length releases went.
Future Releases His Own Pack Of Emojis

Kanye West Announces "New Album Coming This Summer"
While Kendrick Lamar did take home a few awards this year, any rap fan will tell you that the Grammys still have a long way to come as far as representing hip-hop culture. Kanye West, who has always been pretty vocal when he's sees injustice at an award show, has spoken his mind about the Grammys and the artists they chose to snub this year on Twitter.
Charts Don't Lie: February 24
Following the Grammys there was a surge that gave hip hop artists a boost in sales. For example, Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly jumped up from #60 to #16 after crushing it at the award show. The Weeknd also jumped from #12 back into the top 10, landing at #6 for his post-Grammy week on the charts.
Future Has "3 Albums+ Of RnB Bangers" According To Ebro
While Future’s musical output has swung more in the pure rap direction recently, he has never shied away from cross-over R&B tracks. A few tracks from Honest are probably the closest we’ve gotten to full-fledged R&B in the past few years, but Future would never call himself purely a rapper. He’s way too much of an ATLien for that.
50 Cent Questions Desiigner's Longevity
Desiigner is one of the hottest new names in rap; the 18-year-old Brooklyn rapper signed to G.O.O.D. 10 Rappers Who Sound Like Other Rappers
As soon as the "If Young Metro don't trust you, I'ma shoot you" drop appeared in the middle of Kanye's MSG performance last week, an audible "Damn..." came from the crowd seated in the theater with me. 'A Ye and Future song?!', we all asked ourselves, struggling to calculate just how many flame emojis we'd have to use when describing the track to those who missed the listening session. That little soundbite was indeed Nayvadius Wilburn's voice, but the verse that followed was not, though it might not have been until after the show concluded that you realized it.

Quiz: How Well Do You Know Future?
Future's had quite the year, and we're still only in the first quarter. The Atlanta rapper recently nabbed his third #1 album with the Apple-released EVOL, which itself was a very quick follow-up from his Purple Reign mixtape. Future is currently heading out on tour with Ty Dolla $ign for their "Purple Reign" tour, which actually kicked off yesterday.
Charts Don't Lie: February 17
The Billboard Chart saw a new number one this week in the form of Future, whose album EVOL is currently the top-selling album in the country. Apparently rolling it out on DJ Khaled's radio show wasn't such a bad idea, as the record has sold nearly 100k in its first week. Making way for Future's climb to the top is Rihanna, who slipped from #1 to #3 this week.
