So much for honoring his deaf brother by not releasing any new music this year. While the thought of the initiative to support the hearing impaired was an incredibly thoughtful gesture on the part of Young Thug, we have to admit we're relieved that we do not have to wait until 2019 for new Thugger. Having already featured on several tracks this year, including a selection of song on DJ Esco's Kolorblind project, we have the first taste of a brand new original Thug cut. Enlisting Atlanta's Dae Dae, "Say My Name" is a bouncy track with an eclectic beat and both parties turning up in their vocals.
The previously unreleased track surfaced late last night to the surprise of many as Thug had announced his plans to not release any solo material for the length of the year. With a repetitive hook that is bound to stick in your head and both artists confidently doing their thing in their respective sections, Thug's vocals strongly resonate with the listener. Offering a taste of what may be to come from Thug's side, "Say My Name" hints at further releases from the ATL rapper.
