Wiz Khalifa's "Cabin Fever" will be hitting streaming services this Friday.

Back in July, moves were being made to bring some of Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller's pivotal mixtapes to streaming services. At the time, Rostrum Records was in the process of crossing their T's and dotting their I's to ensure that sample clearance was handled accordingly. Though Eric Dan of ID Labs stressed the difficulties of tracking down all involved parties, he reassured fans that the process was underway. Now, months later, we have word that Wiz Khalifa's Cabin Fever will be arriving on all official streaming platforms this Friday.

Though the news has taken on a bittersweet quality given Mac's tragic passing, it still bodes well for those hoping to rediscover some of his finest musical moments. Take Wiz Khalifa's Cabin Fever re-release as a victory for the culture, as myriad tapes have been widely recognized as underrated classics. Though both Wiz and Mac have amassed impressive catalogs, many would argue that some of their finest work came from the mixtape era.
