Tyga explains why there was no Tupac feature on the album version of "Hit Em Up."

Tyga's new album Hotel California was released on April 9th, and fans may have noticed that the Tupac feature on "Hit Em Up" was missing from the album. Tyga revealed to DJ Skee that they weren't able to clear the sample in time, so the version of the song on the album is without Tupac.

Tyga explained that he leaked the track before the clearance on the sample had come through. "I put it out before, but when it comes to clearing stuff, it takes time. It's not like you can just call somebody and just, bam, they gon' hit you right back. It might take two, three weeks, it might take a month for his foundation to get back. And it's like, at that time, we didn't have no time to wait," Tyga explained.
