Thelonious Martin, the Chicago production virtuoso who has worked with the likes of Vic Mensa, Curren$y, and Joey Bada$$, has come through with a 3-track surprise EP, Static, perfect for winding down on a Sunday evening. The EP serves as a prelude to his upcoming album, Late Night Programming, which will presumably contain his recent single, "Bomaye," featuring fellow Savemoney member Joey Purp.
Each of the three tracks on Static is a treat. Impeccable sample work. "This like a secret channel you only get if you wiggle the antenna just right," says Martin of the EP. We won't attempt a more fitting description. Stream Static below.
